SuperBowl!!!

We went over to Dave and Andie's for a Super Bowl party and so I dressed the kids in Football attire. I know the Lion's were not playing in the Super Bowl and in fact never will but that is the cheerleader outfit that Grandma Marden got for Brecklyn :) Brecklyn and Darran were having a push-up competition to get warmed up for the game, hahaha, the picture does look that way though!

Mohawk!!!!!!!!

So Tristan had been asking for a mohawk after seeing a guy at the mall with about 6 in spikes. We said ok to a "faux hawk" haircut :) It is pretty darn cute and if we don't spike it it looks like a normal cut!

Inauguration

We celebrated Barack Obama's Inauguration at the Temple Theater with the kids. It was a really fun day, everyone was so high spirited and it felt like we were actually there (except warmer and up close). I am glad we took the kids to experience such a historic event, hopefully he will be the first president in a long time to actually bring about some real change!

New Years

We went to a very cool Pajama Party for New Years with our group of friends who have been celebrating together for years. It was a good time and there were other kids for Tristan to play with which was great. In fact it seems Tristan fell in love with a little girl who was there named Cameron. He says he will marry her when they get big :)

p.s. Don't worry Tristan was drinking sparkling juice and Brecklyn didn't actually taste it *winks*

This boy is eternally obsessed with trains. This track, built entirely by him is in our front living room and takes up the whole space!

First Day of School!!!

Tristan started Montessori Preschool on Thursday. We can hardly believe he is old enough to be at this stage. How exciting and terrifying all at once. He did great though, we only stayed for the first half hour or so and he said we could leave. Now we have empty nest syndrome :)

WoW! We have had a pretty amazing month! Our daughter Brecklyn was born on Aug. 2nd and we have been in awe ever since. Tristan is completely enamoured! He loves his sister. He kisses and hugs her all day long. We can't imagine our life any differently!
